Man sends Facebook friend request to female coworker → suspended from work for sexual harassment

Saga Prefecture, Japan: On 7/22, a 40 year-old chief clerk who had committed sexual harassment in the past toward a contract worker, found the woman on Facebook and repeatedly sent friend requests. He has been suspended from the office for a month for his wrong-doings.

In summer 2012, he had taken two women to karaoke and was suspended from his office for three months for sexual harassment, which involved touching the women’s bodies.

On 3/3 he found one of the women’s Facebook page and sent multiple friend requests, and also left comments on her updates five times. On 3/5 she wrote to him that she would be contacting her lawyer, to which he replied to apologize.
